Armin Strom’s new minute repeater lets the wearer choose: chime the time shown, or play its longest sequence, 12 hours, three quarters and fourteen minutes, at any moment.

Armin Strom today introduces the Minute Repeater Resonance 12:59 First Edition, limited to 25 pieces. A fully new development with new proportions, it comes in a more compact 42mm titanium case.

The strike has grown from two hammers and gongs to four, for a full Westminster chime. A column wheel switches between the two modes, and a white or red aperture shows the choice. A slider at 9 o’clock winds and releases the strike. Beneath the hammers, a flying governor sets its cadence in full view.

Inside is the new manual-winding Calibre ARR25, built around the patented resonance clutch, which pairs two regulating systems, each with its own barrel, gear train, escapement and balance wheel. A dedicated in-house team finishes every component by hand, with 360-degree decoration.

The result, Armin Strom says, balances mechanical intensity with visual harmony — a chime built to be watched as much as heard.
