The sandstone of Burgdorf, Armin Strom's home town in the canton of Bern, has long shaped the region's architecture, and now gives the Tribute 1 its colours.
Armin Strom today introduces the Tribute 1 Sandstein, a sand-toned reworking of its most stripped-down watch, limited to 50 pieces in steel.

The off-centre dial is grained by hand in the grain d'orge pattern, its Roman numerals set beside a frosted subdial. The 38mm steel case, 9.38mm thick, alternates brushed and polished finishes, with sapphire crystal front and back. On the dial side, a motor barrel sits visible beneath a mirror-polished finger bridge, driven by the hand-wound Calibre AMW21. It is delivered on a sand-coloured nubuck strap with off-white stitching and a steel folding clasp.
Armin Strom hand-finishes the calibre in its own workshop in Biel: hand-bevelled bridges, black-polished screws, Geneva stripes and circular graining. Each Tribute 1 Sandstein is assembled twice, as every watch in the collection is, checked for precision and finish at every stage.
