Chronoswiss's watchmakers in the Atelier Lucerne built the Delphis Sub Zero around a single colour: an all-over blue drawn from ice and glaciers.
Chronoswiss introduces the Delphis Sub Zero, limited to 50 pieces. Its CVD-coated blue steel case and matching blue rubber strap carry the Delphis family's retrograde-minute and jumping-hour layout into an all-blue edition.
The upper dial's silver crescent is hand-guilloché, its curved surface catching light the way glacier ice does. Beside it, a curved subdial nicknamed the “UFO” holds the small seconds, CVD-coated in blue with its own hand-guilloché finish. The digital hour sits at 12 o'clock, and a pointer-shaped hand sweeps the retrograde minute scale. Inside is the manufacture Calibre C.6004, its skeletonised rotor cut from tungsten and its bridge finished with Geneva stripes and ruthenium plating.
The blue itself comes from chemical vapour deposition, a gas-phase process Chronoswiss uses to colour case and dial evenly across their curved surfaces. Both the crescent and the “UFO” subdial are still hand-guilloché, finished in the brand's Atelier Lucerne.
The result reads as one idea carried through in a single colour, from the case to the seconds hand: ice, rendered in steel and rubber.
