In December 2021, Manuel Emch brought Louis Erard together with Patrik Sjögren’s Swedish workshop GoS, pairing Swiss regulator design with the art of Damascus steel.
Louis Erard today introduces the Régulateur Louis Erard x GoS, limited to 178 pieces. Each dial is forged from Damascus steel, a first for the brand, and no two are alike.

Blacksmith Conny Persson forges the steel, and Patrik Sjögren hand-finishes each dial with a bath treatment that deepens its blacks and brightens its greys. Three blue hands sit in the regulator layout, with a triskelion-inspired small seconds counter at 6 o’clock. The case is polished steel, 39mm across.
“We had to let the Damascus steel speak—its raw intensity and uniqueness commanding attention—while shaping it in a way that seamlessly integrates our signature design codes,” says Manuel Emch, the architect of Louis Erard’s revival. The watch comes on a strap of salmon leather, a first for Louis Erard and an echo of GoS’s Nordic roots.
Its pattern comes from the forge, not the drawing board, so no two watches ever quite match.
