Regulators date back to the 19th century manufacturing workshops, where dozens of workers gathered in the same space. They required a single reference time to regulate their work, hence the word Regulator. To optimize time reading, each of their indications were split into 3 distinct locations on the dial.

The 43-mm case is fitted with large panes of sapphire. In a world first, the 3D, rotating movement makes one full turn in 60 seconds. It has a separate hours and minutes display. The ring-shaped seconds dial spins counterclockwise in one minute. With Astronomia Regulator, Jacob & Co. offers a ground-breaking take on the Regulator, transforming a watchmaking classic with one of its signature twists.
