We chose it as the Massena LAB to wear every day. It has a date, an automatic movement and a 40 mm steel case under sapphire, and still looks like a 1970s racing watch, down to the red crosshair and the perforated strap lined in red. Of the Racers, it asks the least of its owner.PRJKT8
The Dato-Racer is the everyday member of Massena LAB's Racer family: hours, minutes, seconds and a date, laid out the way the 1970s liked them.
The dial is a black gradient sunburst, crossed by a fine red crosshair. White Arabic numerals in a 1970s style mark the hours, and the sweep seconds hand is red to match.
Inside is the Sellita SW400-1, a Swiss automatic with 38 hours of reserve and a quick-set date at 3 o'clock. The 40 mm steel case has sapphire on top and is water resistant to 50 m.
Limited to 99 pieces, on a perforated Italian racing strap in black calfskin, lined in red. Built like a racer, mostly used to check the date.
