Origami, folded into the square G-SHOCK. The DW-5600RGM-1 keeps the 5600 shape and covers it in dotted fold lines, the valley and mountain folds of a paper model, running over the dial, case and strap.
The black resin carries a washi-paper texture, so it looks like folded card until you touch it. A crane, the best-known origami figure, is on the caseback and appears in the LED backlight when you press the light. It is made in Japan.
Inside is the familiar 5600 digital module: a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, hourly signal and full auto-calendar, with about 5 years from a CR2016 battery. The case is 42.8 mm across and 13.4 mm thick, shock resistant and water resistant to 200 m, on a bio-based resin strap with a pin buckle.
