Most dials are there to be read. This one is there to disappear. The Venturer XL Concept puts two blackened hands over a Vantablack® dial, a coating of carbon nanotubes that swallows nearly all the light that hits it, so the dial reads less as a surface than as a hole in the case.
No logo, no indexes, no lume. The hands catch just enough light to tell the time, and the effect is stranger in person than in any photograph.
The steel case is 43 mm across, with sapphire front and back. Inside is the hand-wound HMC 327 with 72 hours of reserve; its indicator sits on the movement side, so the dial stays empty. Water resistant to 3 ATM, on an alligator leather strap.
