We chose it because it changes the room it hangs in. By day the blue glass catches the light; at night the lume makes it glow like the real thing. Underneath is a proper L'Epée movement with a 7-day reserve, so it asks for attention only once a week.PRJKT8
Medusa is a jellyfish you can hang from the ceiling or stand on a desk, and in blue it looks most like one seen through deep water. The dome is Murano glass blown by hand, so no two are quite alike.
Through the glass, two rings turn: one for the hours, one for the minutes, read against a single fixed indicator. The indexes and top plate carry Super-LumiNova, so after dark the creature glows. Hung up, it trails glass tentacles; stood up, it rests on a base of steel and brass.
Under the time display, L'Epée's suspended movement beats at 2.5 Hz and runs for 7 days. A small propeller at its foot is the key: turn it to wind, and to set the time. It has 231 components in all and weighs about 6 kg. Limited to 50 pieces in each colour.
