A note from the PRJKT8 team
We chose it for the colour. Brown is a hard shade to get right on a skeleton dial, and here it works with the titanium instead of fighting it. Add a sand-coloured nubuck strap and a chronograph you can see right through, and it is the warmest Opus we have handled.PRJKT8
Dakar is the Opus in desert colours: a warm brown dial, a matte titanium case and a sand-coloured nubuck strap. The dial is skeletonised and CVD-coated, so most of what you see is the chronograph itself.
Through it you follow the calibre C.741S, with black galvanic bridges and a skeletonised rotor in Côtes de Genève. It times up to 12 hours, with a 30-minute counter, central chronograph seconds and an analogue date, and runs about 46 hours on a full wind.
The Grade 5 titanium case is 41 mm by 14.8 mm, with screw-in Autobloc lugs and sapphire on both sides, water resistant to 10 ATM. A titanium buckle closes the strap, so the whole watch stays light.
