We chose it for its nerve. A watch in one colour from crown to strap could easily look like a costume, yet the shades of blue are judged so well that it reads calm. And with every hand in its own place, it is quicker to read than it first looks.PRJKT8
The Regulator Classic Blue is blue from end to end. Chronoswiss gave the case, crown, dial, hands, lume and strap their own shades of it, so the whole watch reads as one colour with depth.
A regulator gives each hand its own place; Chronoswiss compares it to a car’s dashboard. The hours sit in a guilloché aperture at 12 o’clock, the minutes on the long central hand, the seconds in a skeletonised subdial at 6. The hands are lacquered a lighter blue than the galvanic dial, with Super-LumiNova inlays.
The 41 mm steel case wears blue PVD and a knurled bezel, and is water resistant to 100 m. Inside is the automatic C.295, with about 42 hours of reserve.
