The watch

This is the last UR-10. URWERK closed the SpaceMeter with a blue edition, and the blue is the domed dial itself, brushed in circles so its tone shifts as your wrist turns.

It still does what the line set out to do: measure how far you have travelled while standing still. The counter at 2 o’clock follows the Earth’s rotation, the one at 4 o’clock its orbit around the Sun, and the one at 9 o’clock both combined. On the back, a 24-hour indication runs around engraved Rotation and Revolution pictograms.

Inside is the automatic UR-10.01, built on a Vaucher Manufacture base, with 43 hours of power reserve. Its Double Flow Turbine, two stacked propellers turning in opposite directions, stops the winding from running away with itself. The titanium case is 7.13 mm thick without its crystals.
