The American 1921 is meant to be read while you drive. The dial is turned on the diagonal and the crown sits between 1 and 2 o'clock, so the time faces you with your hands on the wheel.
Vacheron Constantin made the original in 1921 for the American market. This Historiques version keeps it close: a 36.5 mm cushion case in 18K white gold, a grained silver-toned dial with black Arabic numerals and a railway minute track, small seconds at 3 o'clock and open-tipped hands in blackened gold.
Inside is the hand-wound 4400 AS, with 65 hours of reserve and the Hallmark of Geneva, seen through a sapphire caseback. This piece was bought in 2021 and comes with its box and papers.
