Endeavour Perpetual Calendar
Description
Two difficult materials, one perpetual calendar. The case is tantalum, a dense blue-grey metal that is very hard to machine and polish, and the dial is Abyss Blue fumé in Grand Feu enamel.
Under the enamel is a gold base engraved with a pattern that looks hammered, and four colour pigments are melded over it, so the blue has texture and darkens towards the edge.
The calendar itself stays easy to read: a big date window, and a small central hand that points to the month on the 12 hour markers. It can be set forwards or backwards at any time.
Inside is the hand-wound HMC 800, its calendar built into the movement rather than added as a module, with 168 hours of power reserve. The 42 mm case is tantalum and steel, water resistant to 30 m, on kudu leather.
