HM8 Mark 2 – Purple CarbonMacrolon®
Description
The HM8 Mark 2 is MB&F’s car for the wrist, and this one is painted purple. The body panels are CarbonMacrolon®, a polymer filled with carbon nanotubes and tinted with metallic pigments, like car paint.
You read it from the front, like the speedometer of an old sports car. Two sapphire prisms with integrated magnification lift the time off discs inside: jumping hours on one side, trailing minutes on the other.
The engine is MB&F’s own jumping-hour and trailing-minute module on a Girard-Perregaux automatic base, at 4 Hz with 42 hours of reserve. The chassis is Grade 5 titanium, 47 by 41.5 by 19 mm, water resistant to 30 m.
