Description
Tiger eye is a golden-brown stone whose bands run from gold to deep brown and shift as the light moves. On this FlyingT it covers the dial plate and the small tilted time dial, and MB&F chose yellow gold for the case because the metal picks up the stone’s warmth.
That 18-carat yellow gold case is set with diamonds down to its slender lugs, and one more diamond crowns the flying tourbillon rising from the centre, turning every 60 seconds. Hours and minutes sit at 7 o’clock, tilted at 50° so they face you and not the table.
The automatic movement has 280 components and winds through a sun-shaped rotor of red gold, titanium and platinum, for about 100 hours of reserve. 38.5 mm across, water resistant to 30 m.
