MB&F Legacy Machine: Perpetual Evo Titanium
Description
A perpetual calendar is usually the watch that stays in the safe. The LM Perpetual EVO is the one MB&F built to be worn hard: a screw-down crown, 80 m of water resistance and a FlexRing, a shock-absorbing ring between the case and the movement.
The calendar is Stephen McDonnell's. In place of the usual stacked levers it uses a mechanical processor, which keeps track of short months and the leap year and is built to survive being set at the wrong time of day.
Above the green CVD dial plate, the balance swings at 2.5 Hz. The hand-wound movement has 581 components, 41 jewels and 72 hours of reserve, in a grade 5 titanium case of 44 × 17.5 mm. It sits on an integrated rubber strap with a titanium folding buckle.
