Description

The Small Second Desert trades the guilloché machine for a laser. Its dial is laser-engraved and then nano-printed in 10 layers, building a surface that looks like wind-blown sand.

Chronoswiss took the idea from untouched desert landscapes, and the texture changes with the light much as dunes do. Only the small seconds at 9 o’clock is guilloché by hand, in a contrasting finish so it reads clearly against the sand. The leaf-shaped hands carry Super-LumiNova.

The 40 mm steel case is 11.5 mm thick, with a fluted side ring and a domed sapphire crystal. The automatic Manufacture C.6000 has a skeletonised tungsten rotor and 55 hours of reserve. Water resistant to 30 m, on a pilot-style calfskin strap.
