Description

Ramadan is printed in red on this dial. It is a perpetual calendar that follows the Hijri year rather than the Gregorian one, built into the Tonda PF.

The lunar year has 12 months of 29 or 30 days. The watch follows the tabular calendar devised by Muslim scholars, which runs in a 30-year cycle of 354- and 355-day years. The cycle is tracked at 12 o’clock, the months at 3 o’clock, and the day of the month at 9 o’clock, with a marker for 29- or 30-day months. At 6 o’clock, a blue aventurine moonphase shows both hemispheres.

The Viridian Green dial is guilloché by hand in Grain d’Orge, inside a 42 mm steel case with a knurled platinum bezel, 11.2 mm thick and water resistant to 100 m. The automatic PF009 runs at 4 Hz, with a skeletonised platinum rotor and 48 hours of reserve.
