Description

The TYPE 2 is a mechanical watch that sets itself, and this one is dressed in anthracite: case and convex dial both carry an anthracite PVD coating over Grade 5 titanium, on a black strap.

The e-Crown does the setting. Set the time once with the caseback lever, tap the crystal twice, and the watch registers it; from then on it checks the discs and corrects them. Off the wrist, it stops the movement before the reserve runs out; back on, one tap and it is right again. It also stores two time zones, chosen in a phone app.

The electronics run on light, from photovoltaic cells on the dial, some under 10 micro-shutters. The timekeeping stays mechanical: an automatic movement drives the ROCS 2 display, with 36 hours of reserve. 45 mm by 12 mm; splash resistant only.
