Antarctique Plique-à-jour Polar Blue

Plique-à-jour is enamel with nothing behind it, fired into open metal cells so the light passes through, like a stained-glass window. Czapek has put it in a steel sports watch.

The Polar Blue dial changes as the wrist turns, with space made at 4:30 for the small seconds. It is a demanding technique to find on a watch meant to be worn every day.

Around it, the Antarctique’s 40.5 mm integrated steel case and bracelet, 10.6 mm thick and water resistant to 120 m. Inside is the automatic SXH7 with its micro-rotor and a 60-hour power reserve. Limited to 10 pieces.
