Kubera Series 1

The Kubera Series 1 marks a new chapter for Hautlence — not just a new model, but a rethinking of how time is constructed, displayed, and experienced.

At first glance, it feels sculpted rather than assembled. The steel case flows seamlessly into an integrated bracelet, forming a monolithic silhouette shaped by layered architecture and shifting light. Every surface plays with depth and reflection, giving the watch a strong, almost architectural presence on the wrist.

Time is displayed without traditional hands. A jumping hour appears instantly in its aperture, while the minutes are tracked by a cursor moving along the dial’s periphery — a signature Hautlence approach that turns time into motion. It’s mechanical theatre, restrained yet quietly captivating.

Beneath this display sits a Lajoux-Perret automatic calibre, enhanced with an anti-magnetic escapement. The jumping hours and peripheral minutes module, developed with Agenhor, adds a dynamic layer to the movement — transforming the act of reading time into something far more engaging.

Named after Kubera, the guardian of earthly treasures in Hindu mythology, the watch reflects this idea through its layered textures and mineral-like depth. It’s not designed to blend in — it’s built for collectors who appreciate form, mechanics, and a different perspective on time.|
