Description

The rays on this ivory dial don’t start in the middle. They start at the small seconds at 4:30, which Czapek treats as the sun, and sweep out across the dial from there.

Metalem cuts Czapek’s registered “Soleil” pattern by hand on an engine-turning machine, in the house’s secret alloy. On an ivory ground the guilloché shows as light and shadow rather than colour, so the dial stays quiet until the light catches it.

The 38 mm steel case is 10.8 mm thick, with a glass-box sapphire crystal, and water resistant to 5 ATM. Inside is the in-house SXH5.1, with a recycled platinum micro-rotor and a 60-hour power reserve.

On beige nubuck, or a steel Milanese mesh bracelet.
