WS02 Robotic watch stand

Blending functional design with playful character, Watch Stand WS-02 is a sculptural object created by Korean artist Y.N. Choi as part of his Robotoys series.

An evolution of the earlier WS-01 model, WS-02 introduces greater flexibility and visual complexity. Constructed primarily from copper wire and acrylic, the figure is reinforced with metal plates that give the piece both structural presence and a distinctly mechanical charm.

Standing 200 mm tall, WS-02 is immediately recognisable by its orange-toned hands and articulated limbs. The legs, in particular, are designed with enhanced mobility, allowing the figure to sit or kneel—transforming a simple watch stand into an expressive, almost animated companion.

At once practical and light-hearted, WS-02 is designed to display a watch securely while bringing a sense of personality and quiet humour to a desk, shelf, or bedside table.
