Description

A split-seconds chronograph times two events that start together and end apart, and few complications are harder to build. This Tonda PF does it in 18-carat rose gold, case, bracelet and movement bridges alike, around a sandblasted dial of 950 platinum. Limited to 30 pieces.

Start the chronograph and both seconds hands run as one. Press the pusher in the crown and the upper hand stops to hold an intermediate time while the lower one carries on; press again and it catches up, which is where the French name, rattrapante, comes from.

The PF361 is wound by hand and beats at 5 Hz, fine enough to read a tenth of a second, with two column wheels and a 65-hour reserve. The case is 42 mm by 15 mm, water resistant to 100 m, and an alligator strap comes with it besides the bracelet.
