We chose it for the blue. Under the boutique lights the guilloché plate moves from ice to steel as you tilt your wrist, and the grey sapphire dial lets you watch it happen. It is also an automatic you can wear every day, with a barrel that keeps its force steady to the end.PRJKT8
The Blue takes its palette from the Swiss Alps: a glacial blue movement plate seen through a grey-toned sapphire dial, a little like looking at ice through frosted glass.
The plate’s guilloché pattern is by Kari Voutilainen, and the blue shifts as light crosses its lines. Rhodium-plated faceted hands with Super-LumiNova keep the off-centre dial readable without crowding the view.
Below, the ASB19 houses Armin Strom’s patented Equal Force Barrel with a Geneva stop-work, keeping the force to the balance even through all 72 hours. A micro-rotor does the winding, which is why the 41 mm steel case is only 12.65 mm thick. It comes on blue nubuck with ice-blue stitching and a steel folding clasp. Limited to 25 pieces per year.
