We chose it because it surprises people who think clocks should be serious. The pink glass is soft rather than sweet, the lume gives it a second life at night, and the L'Epée movement inside is made as carefully as anything worn on a wrist. A full wind lasts a week.PRJKT8
Pink is the warmest of the three Medusa colours, which MB&F picked from the natural hues of jellyfish. In a room it reads less like a clock than a lamp with a heartbeat.
The bell is hand-blown Murano glass, and the clock lives inside it: an hours ring and a minutes ring turning past a fixed indicator, with Super-LumiNova on the indexes and top plate so the time can be read with the lights off. Suspend it with its glass tentacles, or set it on its stainless steel and brass stand.
L'Epée built the suspended movement for it: 2.5 Hz, 23 jewels, 7 days on a full wind. The propeller under the movement is both winding key and time-setter. About 6 kg, depending on the glass. Limited to 50 pieces in each colour.
