We chose it because it is where Moser and Alpine began, and they began high: a cylindrical hairspring in a flying tourbillon, a movement open in three dimensions, and one blue dome to tell the time. People who follow the partnership tend to want its first chapter, and this is it.PRJKT8
The first watch to come out of Moser’s partnership with Alpine Motorsports took its colour from the team: one small domed dial of bright blue synthetic spinel at 12 o’clock, and a blue rubber strap to match.
The rest is movement. The HMC 811 is skeletonised in three dimensions, and its one-minute flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock carries a cylindrical hairspring with double Breguet overcoils, which coils upward like a tiny spring instead of lying flat. The bridges are coated in anthracite and bevelled.
It winds itself through a skeletonised 18K gold rotor and runs for at least 74 hours. The cushion-shaped steel case is 42.3 mm and water resistant to 120 m. Limited to 100 pieces.
