Benoît Mintiens, founder and creative leader of Ressence, describes the TYPE 11 as a watch of the present: contemporary, but not futuristic.
Ressence today introduces the TYPE 11, in three colourways: Pine, Sky and Latte. At its core is the Ressence Werk RW-01, the first movement designed and developed by the brand.

Earlier Ressence watches used modified third-party movements, kept separate from the ROCS display. The RW-01 was built to drive it, so the two now form a single unit, with a triangular layout that echoes a Ressence dial. Rotating discs show the time with no hands and no crown. Two-tone ceramic micro-balls track the 60-hour power reserve, enough to take the watch off on Friday evening and find it running on Monday morning.
“At Ressence, the complexity lies in the dial, in how we display time. The movement serves that purpose,” says Mintiens.
Its pebble-shaped titanium case keeps to classic proportions — a Ressence built, its founder says, for now rather than the future.
