Legacy Machine 101 Red Gold Blue

The LM101 is the purest expression of the Legacy Machine concept. Conceived and developed entirely in-house by MB&F, the movement’s aesthetics and finishing specifications were shaped with the guidance of Kari Voutilainen, blending classical haute horlogerie with MB&F’s three-dimensional architecture.

For the 2021 editions, MB&F refined the design by stepping back visually. The larger bezel and Legacy Machine engraving were removed, allowing the slightly enlarged sub-dials for time and power reserve to take centre stage. The result is a clearer, more focused dial layout that highlights function over ornament.

Above the movement floats the LM101’s defining feature: a monumental 14 mm flying balance wheel fitted with four traditional regulating screws. The 2021 models introduce a ©Straumann double hairspring, improving concentric breathing and long-term stability, while dark NAC-finished bridges add depth and contrast beneath the blue dial plate. Elegant, mechanical, and unmistakably MB&F.
