We chose it because it is a dial you watch as much as read. As the polarised hands move apart and back together, the dial goes black and returns in colour. Around that trick sit a 40 mm titanium case, 11.8 mm thick, and a micro-rotor movement with about 86 hours of reserve.PRJKT8
The Peepshow has a dial that comes and goes. Its hands are cut from polarised sapphire, so they let the light through or block it: when they stand at right angles the dial turns black, and as they line up the colour-shifting guilloché comes back.
The case is grade-5 titanium, 40 mm across and 11.8 mm thick, with no bezel. The deep box sapphire runs to the edge, and the polished and blasted lugs are MING’s interlocking flying blades.
Inside sits the Schwarz-Etienne for MING ASE 200.M1, wound by a tungsten micro-rotor, with about 86 hours of reserve and a skeletonised barrel. Limited to 50 pieces, on a Perlon-textured calfskin strap by Jean Rousseau.
