We chose it because it was the first watch in MING’s permanent collection, and it is still the clearest way into the brand: a sapphire dial with every marking cut into it and filled with MING Polar White, a 38 mm steel case that looks bigger and slimmer than it measures, and an automatic movement on black rubber.PRJKT8
The 37.02 Minimalist was the first watch in MING’s permanent collection, and it sums the brand up: a pared-back design, a glowing sapphire dial, and a case that looks larger and slimmer than its 38 by 11 mm.
It was also the first MING with MING Polar White, the luminous material MING makes itself and one of very few that glows truly white. Every marking is a laser-cut channel in the sapphire dial, filled with it; the hands stay blue Super-LumiNova X1.
Polished and brushed steel, 100 m water resistance, an automatic Sellita for MING SW300.M1 with about 45 hours of reserve, and black FKM rubber moulded to follow the wrist.
