We chose it as the darker twin of the Minimalist. The same 38 mm design comes in matt anthracite DLC, and the sapphire dial goes from glowing to almost black as you turn your wrist. The markings glow white in MING Polar White, and the mango strap keeps it from taking itself too seriously.PRJKT8
The Monolith is the stealth version of MING’s 37.02: the Minimalist’s design in a matt, DLC-coated case, made in smaller numbers each year.
Its sapphire dial changes with the angle: it glows, reflects, or turns almost black. The markings are laser-cut channels filled with MING Polar White, a luminous material MING makes itself and one of very few that glows truly white. The hands are blue Super-LumiNova X1, for contrast.
38 by 11 mm in steel with an anthracite DLC coating, 100 m water resistance, and an automatic Sellita for MING SW300.M1 with about 45 hours of reserve. On mango FKM rubber with a matching DLC tuck buckle.
