We chose it because the black case makes the turquoise look lit from within. With the orange strap and orange lume, it is the loudest Pioneer we keep, and it wears easier than it sounds: 42.8 mm of DLC-coated steel, water resistant to 120 m, with the automatic HMC 201 inside.PRJKT8
Put the Spiced Aqua dial in a black case and it changes temper. The steel here is coated in black DLC, so the turquoise fumé and its orange flange sit against dark metal and look deeper, almost electric.
The orange rubber strap picks up the flange and the orange Super-LumiNova® on the leaf-shaped hands, which leaves the dial as the one cool note in the watch. Under the fumé, a sunburst finish keeps it moving in the light.
Inside the 42.8 mm case, 12.0 mm with its domed crystal, is the automatic HMC 201: Straumann® hairspring, hacking seconds, a power reserve of at least 72 hours. Screw-in crown, see-through sapphire caseback, water resistant to 120 m.
