Three hour discs, each turning on its own axis, orbit a central minutes disc. When the hour changes, the new numeral jumps into view in an instant and the minutes travel on beside it. Moser calls it an instantaneous display, and it reads faster than a pair of hands.
Inside the 42.8 mm steel case, the automatic HMC 240 winds both ways through a tungsten oscillating weight and runs for 72 hours, on view through the sapphire caseback. Screw-down crown, water resistant to 120 m.
