The seconds on this Pioneer never complete a circle. At 6 o’clock an open hand sweeps along an arc for 30 seconds, then flies back to the start and sets off again.
The mechanism is left uncovered, so you can watch the reset. Moser built it with Agenhor, specialists in retrograde displays, and gave the arc the look of a speedometer. Around it, the Midnight Blue fumé dial darkens towards the rim, and the Moser logo is laid on in transparent lacquer, visible only when the light finds it.
Inside the 42.8 mm steel case is the automatic HMC 250, built on Moser’s HMC 201, with 72 hours of power reserve. Water resistant to 120 m, on a rubber strap.
