A note from the PRJKT8 team
We chose it because it is Louis Erard having fun with a serious movement. The Valjoux 7750 does the work, and the yellow chronograph hands on matt blue do the talking. Titanium keeps a 44 mm case light on the wrist, and only 99 are made in this colour.PRJKT8
Louis Erard’s chronographs used to be called La Sportive. Now they are the 2300, after the postcode of La Chaux-de-Fonds, the town where the brand was born. This is the blue one of the three.
The dial is matt blue with a paler blue minute track. A blue counter sits at 9 o’clock, matt silver ones at 12 and 6 o’clock, and the chronograph hands are matt yellow, so a running time is easy to pick out. Blue Super-LumiNova covers the markers and the hour and minute hands, with day and date at 3 o’clock.
The automatic ETA Valjoux 7750 runs for about 48 hours and shows through the caseback. The 44 mm case is Grade 5 titanium with a black ceramic bezel insert under a glassbox sapphire crystal, water resistant to 50 m.
