We chose it for anyone who likes texture more than colour. Grey on grey sounds plain until the fluting catches the light, and then the dial looks different every time you turn your wrist. With the matching grey strap it goes with almost anything. Only 99 were made.PRJKT8
The grey Esprit Flinqué is the quiet one. With the colour taken down to greys and anthracite, what you notice is the build of Louis Erard’s regulator dial and the way light runs along its fluting.
There are three levels: a light grey base plate with a fluted sunray finish, a grey-tinted base under the sub-dials, and an upper minute counter in polished anthracite lacquer, fluted as well. The minute hand is a rhodium-plated fir tree in the centre. The hours at 12 o’clock and the seconds at 6 o’clock are shown by skeletonised black discs, and the texture shows through them.
The polished steel case is 39 mm wide and 12.82 mm thick, over the automatic Sellita SW266-1 with about 38 hours of power reserve. Water resistant to 50 m. On grey grained calf with a pin buckle. Limited to 99 pieces.
