A note from the PRJKT8 team
We chose it because the dial changes as you move. The fluted blue catches the light in bands, and the skeletonised discs let you see straight through the hours and seconds to the pattern underneath. The beige strap softens it nicely. Only 99 were made, in a very wearable 39 mm case.PRJKT8
Esprit Flinqué means the spirit of flinqué, the old craft of laying translucent enamel over engine-turned metal. Louis Erard gets the effect with a fluted sunray finish and lets the light do the rest.
The dial comes in three parts: a light blue base plate, a blue-tinted base under the sub-dials, and an upper minute counter in polished blue lacquer, fluted too. As on any regulator, the minutes have the centre to themselves, on a rhodium-plated fir tree hand. The hours at 12 o’clock and the seconds at 6 o’clock turn on skeletonised black discs that seem to float above the surface.
Developed with Worn & Wound. The 39 mm polished steel case holds the automatic Sellita SW266-1, with about 38 hours of power reserve, and is water resistant to 50 m. On beige grained calf. Limited to 99 pieces.
