The TYPE 3 MN marks a rare moment in contemporary watchmaking: the fusion of Marc Newson’s industrial-design language with Benoît Mintiens’ radical Ressence philosophy. Two creative worlds—each known for rethinking the familiar—meet in one of the most striking TYPE 3 executions ever produced.
The silhouette is unmistakably Newson: a smooth, ergonomic, elliptical form with a seamless domed sapphire crystal. Inside, everything is pure Ressence—an oil-filled dial that removes optical distortion, a display that floats beneath the glass, and the patented ROCS 3 system that replaces hands with orbital discs.
The aesthetic is playful yet precise. Minimal, expressive hands recall Newson’s Ikepod era, while a celadon-green and grey palette adds clarity and softness. Grade 5 titanium discs rotate across four eccentric satellites, with engraved markings filled in Super-LumiNova® for day-and-night readability.
